Birkdale Community Early Learning Centre

Birkdale ELC has been providing quality care and education to local families for over 20 years.

Our fully qualified teachers work closely with children and their families to provide a Te Whaariki based curriculum which supports whole child development, reflecting childrens changing interests and needs.

At the centre your child will have opportunities to explore and learn as an individual, while being supported by teachers who work alongside them to build confidence, and a range of developmental skills.

Children aged from 1 year up to their 5th birthday can attend the 3 hour sessions on a permanent or casual basis and parents and whanau are always welcome to stay.

Sessions are from 8.45 am to 11.45 am Monday to Friday and from 12.30 to 3.30 pm Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday.

Session costs are $12 per child with discounts for more than one child from a family.

The WINZ Childcare subsidy is available for low income earners.

Contact Yvonne at the Centre on
483 9149 or call in - you are assured of a warm welcome.

Free 20 hours care for 3/4 year olds

We offer this service to our parents.

To assist with the shortfall in funding we ask for a voluntary contribution for each session that your child attends under this programme.
